The Best of the Pacific Rim
Day 1
Explore Cathedral Grove on your way to the Pacific Rim.
Arrive in Ucluelet after a scenic drive through Cathedral Grove and a quick stop at Coombs Country Candy in Port Alberni for some fabulous ice cream and chocolate snacks for later.
Grab a quick bite to eat and wander around Ucluelet for the evening, checking out the commercial fishing vessels in the harbour and enjoying the small town feel.
Day 2
After a fisherman’s buffet breakfast, it’s off for a hike on the Wild Pacific Trail that skirts the rugged cliffs of Ucluelet’s outer coast and brings you through wind-swept ancient rainforests and rocky beaches. Make sure to bring a camera as there are opportunities to take some spectacular photos every few feet!
Take a wildlife adventure cruise with Canadian Princess Resort and cruise through the waters of the Broken Group Islands spotting eagles, seals, sea lions and a variety of marine birds. Learn about the local history and see some of the famous landmarks in the area.
After the cruise, it’s off to the Wickaninnish Restaurant on Long Beach as part of the dinner and a cruise package. Enjoy wonderful seafood dishes and wines while witnessing a breathtaking sunset.
Day 3
Spend the morning strolling through shops and galleries in Tofino, enjoying the work of local artisans and First Nations art.
Enjoy a leisurely walk along Wickaninnish Beach in Pacific Rim National Park, letting the gentle roll of the waves soothe your spirits. Watch surfers, both experienced and novice alike, tackle the waves.
Travel home back through Port Alberni with one more stop at Coombs Country Candy!
